RISK AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER A vacancy has arisen in the Risk and Compliance Department of a leading Pension Fund and applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates. Duties include: 1. Report to the Audit and Risk Committee and Senior Management on a quarterly basis. 2. Identify for implementation, Risk, Compliance and Anti Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (AMLFT) policies, systems and procedures for the Pension Fund. 3. Ensure compliance with all laws and Guidelines applicable for the Fund and liaise with the Fund Staff in ensuring implementation of the Fund's ERM Framework. 4. Monitor instances of non-compliance on a regular basis and make any necessary reporting to IPEC or other relevant regulatory authorities. 5. Liaise with external parties (such as the Fund Actuary and Risk Consultants) for periodic reviews of the Fund's risk management programme. 6. Prepare for submission to IPEC, a Risk Management Declaration. 7. Assist Management on Risk Management activities. 8. Liaise with Fund Lawyers on legal cases involving the Fund. 9. Conduct the Pension Fund's insurance arrangement activities.
The successful candidate must have the following minimum qualifications: • Possession of at least a degree in Insurance and Risk Management/ Law or equivalent professional qualification(s). • At least 3 years' relevant work experience in an insurance or financial institution environment. • A clean, traceable working background.
