Description

Location: Harare Reporting to Project Accountant The Role The main purpose of this role is to offer financial management support that ensures efficient and effective resources utilisation that complies with PSZ’s finance, procurement and Donor requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for accurately and timely capturing of transactions generated by the organisation. The Assistant Accountant will support all accounting month-end processes, organisation’s monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes that provide quality financial information for informed decision making. The Assistant Accountant will also be responsible for all creditors payments, supporting the budgeting, and cash flow management.

Work/Educational Requirements

An degree in Accounting or it's equivalent. • A relevant professional qualification(s) such as CIS, ACCA or CIMAis an added advantage. • Working knowledge of SUN system OR any accounting software. • Excellent computer skills, in particular in MS Office applications. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • At least 2 years of relevant working experience with at least 1 years’ experience in an NGO environment. • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
