GUEST RELATIONS OFFICER :
- Full Time
Responsible for checking guests in and out of the hotel, allocating rooms and keys, accurate collection and recording of payments and is the main point of contact between the guests and the staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
a. Operating the switchboard.
b. Taking bookings and cancellations by phone, email or face-to-face and recording the information.
c. Checking in guests, allocating rooms and handing over keys.
d. Checking out guests, adding up their bills and taking their debit card or cash payments.
e. Co-coordinating with housekeeping for clearing of rooms.
f. Addressing and escalating guest complaints and concerns in an efficient and timely manner.
g. Providing information regarding the Hotel & Casino, local attractions, activities etc.
h. Maintaining up-to date information on room rates, current promotions, offers and packages.
i. Maintaining all guest folios in the manner instructed and type out necessary guest likes and dislikes to the appropriate fields on the profile.
j. Collecting and record accurately all monies brought and/or paid at the Front Desk.
k. Collecting Guest feedback during guest departure along with their likes and dislikes.
l. Giving proper and complete handover to the next shift.
m. Following the house rules and policies laid down by management.
n. Adhering to strict staff grooming and hygiene standards.
o. Carrying out any other duties as delegated by Superior.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Diploma or equivalent in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
2. Degree or HND an added advantage.
3. At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar environment and/or at the same position.
