Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a qualified Project Administrator/Coordinator who will be based in Bulawayo

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Coordinate Projects information, program of works and resources
2. Liaising with Clients, Consultant and Project Team on project requirements, scope of work and targets
3. Assign tasks to Project teams
4. Assist with managing the Program of Works
5. Execute and coordinate project procurement locally and in South Africa
6. Monitor project progress and any issues that arise
7. Act as the point of contact and communicate project status and instructions to all project stakeholders
8. Work with the Project Manager in identifying and solving project related problems
9. Compile and monitor project expenditure
10. Compile, maintain and submit comprehensive project documentation including applications for guarantees and working capital facilities
11. Compile Project Progress Reports for submission to the Clients and Project Consultants on a weekly basis and at any other interval as requested
12. Prepare and submit Tenders
13. Working with the book keeper in costing for tenders
14. Prepare Quotations for additional works for existing projects
15. Prepare Quotations for equipment hire
16. Compile and submit Project Claims
17. Any other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications and Experience

1. A Diploma/Degree in a business related/construction related qualification from a reputable Polytechnic /University
2. Experience of at least 3years in a project management/co-ordination role especially in the construction industry
3. Excellent Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
4. Proficiency in preparing and interpreting Program of Works using software such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, Gantt Charts and other Project Management Packages
5. Strong Organisational skills
6. Ability to multi task
7. Strong time management skills
8. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
9. Ability to work in outdoor environments
10. Report Writing
