QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Location: Harare, Zimbabwe
A growing and ambitious construction company, with a portfolio of sizeable building projects
and expanding operations, is seeking a highly competent, self-driven and commercially astute
Quantity Surveyor to join its team.
We are looking for more than technical qualifications and years of experience. We seek an

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Preparation of bills of quantities, estimates, quotations and tender submissions.
• Project budgeting, cost control and profitability monitoring.
• Subcontractor sourcing, negotiations, valuations and commercial administration.
• Management of variations, claims and payment certificates.
• Coordination with project teams to ensure efficient, cost-effective project delivery.
• Identification of commercial risks, cost-saving opportunities and operational
improvements.
• Providing leadership and accountability within project teams.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
• A recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable practical experience in building and construction projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, pricing and contract
administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software.
• Contractor-side experience will be an added advantage.
Selection will be based primarily on demonstrated competence, attitude, leadership
potential and track record rather than years of experience alone.
