Job Summary

An FMCG is looking for a Farmer Relationship Manager to be based at their operation in Harare. This person should have a PR and/or Marketing flair. The role involves quite a great deal of travelling within Zimbabwe hence would suit someone who does love to travel. The Relationship Manager is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and ensuring superior service delivery to the clients allocated to his / her portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure retention
•Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
•Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
•Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner
•Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
•Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
•Play an integral part in acquiring new clients that will turn into long-lasting relationships
•Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
•Retain top customers and nurture those key relationships
•Become a strategic partner and advisor to the client, discovering new opportunities to work together for mutual benefit
•Focus on client relationships with the mandate to grow the business
•Handle Queries and resolve concerns.
•Maintain supportive relationships with clients in order to prevent losses that impact the clients operations and profitability.

Qualifications and Experience

•A business related degree is required, MBA will be an added advantage.
•Experience in the dairy/agriculture sector will be an added advantage as well
•At least 5 years in similar positions like Key Account Management, Customer Relationship Management etc
• Excellent organizational skills
•Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
•Good communication, listening and presentation skills.
•Ability to analyse and research information
•Ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
•Good sales and negotiation skills
