Background
The Mashonaland East Pig Producers Business Syndicate (PPBS) is a coalition of pig producers representing the interest of Murehwa, Marondera, Seke and Goromonzi pig producers associations. The syndicate, through the business management Unit has a 90 sow unit pig breeding enterprise supplying superior genetics to small and medium scale pig producers at agreeable rates.
About the role
The role of the Production Manager is to oversee and guide on production and marketing activities at the Unit guided by Key Performance Indicators and production targets. The production Manager's performance will be evaluated regularly by the PPBS Board.
Duties
Strong Farm management background with more than 3 years’ experience in pig production as a Supervisor; Previous experience as production manager is an added advantage; Experience in managing / supervising 100 plus sow unit; Strong interpersonal and networking skills; Strong command of oral and written English and Shona languages; Basic computer literacy.
