Job Title: - Sales Manager (Northern Region)




Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above post, in the Marketing Department at Matanuska.




Reports to: Regional Manager


Major Functions/Accountabilities:


To actively seek out and engage customer prospects.

Provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer.

To drive and grow formal channel sales contribution through key accounts:

New business development and managing relationships with van sales customers.

Manage the Gross to Net (GTN) investment budget with key accounts in the region.

Joint business planning and business review meetings with regional key account customers.

Drive merchandising compliance and in-store execution with field marketers.

Ensuring 100% of area coverage on a daily basis.

Analyses and responds to competitor activity.

Attends to customer and stakeholder complaints both internal and external effectively.

Manage salesmen route compliance and mileages.



Skills and Competencies:


Experience in FMCG / retail environment.

Advanced ICT skills.

Analytical thinking & results focus.

Performance & Productivity Management.

Excellent communication, presentation & technical skills.

Strong business knowledge.



Computer proficiency:




Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.


Salary:


Negotiable



Location:


Harare based however incumbent may be expected to travel to other locations.



Experience:




Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in an FMCG Agriculture / farming / manufacturing experience with 3 years in a senior level.



Qualifications:


The ideal applicant should possess the following minimum qualifications.


Sales/Marketing Degree or any related.

Business Related qualification is an added advantage.

Excellent supervisory, leadership and mentoring skills.
