SYSTEMS DEVELOPER – Airports Company of Zimbabwe (Private) Limited

Reports to: Systems Delivery Lead
Location: Head Office

Duties and Responsibilities
? Implements section policies, processes and procedures
? Adheres to policies, processes and procedures.
? Ensures policies are adequately communicated to all application users and section members.
? Implements policies to reflect environmental changes.
? Develops individual plans based upon weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly sectional plans.
? Gather requirements from relevant departments and third-party integrators.
? Develops solution architecture from requirements set.
? Develops systems according to standards, policies and system requirements.
? Ensures systems deployments adhere to deployment and operational policies in place.
? Engages relevant user departments (Airport operations, Business Development, QA, Audit, finance,
customer services) as to the feasibility of a project.

? Tests that develop systems adheres to all policies, standards and specifications.
? Develops integration strategies between key systems conforming to software development best
practises and latest technologies.
? Establishes a secure integration infrastructure to protect sensitive business information.
? Evaluates integration infrastructure to keep in line with the rapid changes in technology and security
threats.
? Documents all policies and methodologies using the software development cycle.
? Analyses problems encountered during system use.
? Proposes solutions to address challenges raised by system users.
? Develops patches to fix malfunctions.
? Thoroughly test all software fix packs.
? Deploys fixes to affected software platforms.

Qualifications and Experience
? A degree in Information Technology/Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent is a
must.
? At least 2 years of work experience in the ICT industry the software development environment.
? Relevant certification in any of the following platforms Oracle Java SE, C#, Azure Developer,
Microsoft Apps Developer is an added advantage
? Certification in any of the leading development languages is a must (i.e., Java, C#, VB.Net, PHP,
Android studio etc.)
? Knowledge of containers and micro.
? Practical knowledge and experience with certificates in using different Java, Microsoft or other
development frameworks is a must (i.e., Spring MVC, Hibernate, Struts, jQuery etc.)
? Practical working knowledge and experience in use of open-source software is a must.
? Evidence of any two (2) electronic systems designed, developed, and fully implemented.
