DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop story or content ideas in line with targeted audience preferences
- Oversee publication, including artwork, layout, computer typesetting and printing of materials submitted for publication.
- Read copy or proofs to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation and syntax in manuscripts or other materials submitted for publication.
- Takes full legal responsibility for everything published, including advertisements.
- Allocate print space tor story text, photos and illustrations.
- Plan the contents of publications in liaison with designers, photographers, and script writers among others.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND ATTRIBUTES
- Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication/ Media Studies or equivalent
- Working experience in a similar position/environment is an added advantage.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Creative editing abilities of different stories
- Ability to translate a written story into picture stories.
Remuneration packages will be disclosed to the successful candidate.
