VACANCY NOTICE
REVENUE COLLECTOR (4) DUTIES
? Collecting and receipting money on behalf of the council within the assigned area
? Issuing of various licenses to clients including license inspection
? To surrender all cash to the revenue clerk at the end of each day where it will be verified against all receipts
? Safekeeping of all receipt books and licenses in use
? Follow-up on rates from ratepayers and ensure that rates are paid timeously
? Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
? At least 5 ‘O’ Levels including English and Mathematics
? A National Certificate or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
? Knowledge of Pastel Evolution is a must
? Previous experience in a local authority or similar public sector environment is an added advantage
