Linux Administrator – Western Cape – Remote – Salary R25 000 – R35 000 Cost to Company

Candidates need to have general Linux skills which would cover all the basics. Years of experience and certifications do not matter, it's all about practical experience and the ability to pick up things fast.

The chosen candidate will be working in a small team of about 6 people in an enterprise task and project-driven environment. There will be standby work at times.

The office is in Claremont, but we would prefer the candidate to work from home most of the time. There is also a "satellite" office in Stellenbosch.

Requirements:

Must be able to communicate in English, written and verbally, being fluent in Afrikaans is advantageous.

Salary can be higher depending on Python/ Cloudera skills.

Required Skills:

Experienced general Linux System admin.

The environment is Redhat-specific.

The candidate will assist in supporting users (Tickets) to maintain, patch, update, automate and improve the environment.
