About NASCOH
National Association of Socities for the Care of the Handicapped (NASCOH) is an umbrella organization of and for people with disabilities (PWDs) in Zimbabwe, W/O 4/80. We are interested in promoting the rights, interests and needs of all people with disabilities.

About the role:
NASCOH in collaboration with project partners are piloting a new project on economic empowerment for persons with disabilities. The project will be implemented in Harare and Bulawayo and will pursue both waged employment and self-employment pathways. It seeks to support businesses to become successful employers of people with disabilities, and supports people with disabilities to develop skills, confidence, and experience to successfully gain work (waged/self-employment). The Finance Intern will be responsible for the day-to-day recording, accounting and management of the Economic Empowerment finances. The post holder will ensure that the project finances are properly incurred and accounted for and that complete documentation is maintained and filed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Receipt any cash receipts;
• Process payments and maintain payment vouchers and other supporting documentation;
• Manage petty cash;
• Obtain quotations of products and or services from suppliers;
• Execute the procurement function in accordance with organizational and or donor requirements and maintain all relevant information and documentation;
• Ensure that vehicle log books are maintained and ensure that the vehicles are serviced timeously and that vehicle licences and insurances are also timeously paid;
• Ensure that all assets are labeled;
• Allocate assets, stationery and any other resources and ensure that the necessary registers are maintained;
• Assist the Finance & Administration Officer in the preparation of periodic reports and monthly financial statements including bank reconciliations;
• Ensure that statutory obligations and or returns (e.g. PAYE, NSSA, MANDATA, etc) are met and honoured on due dates;
• Ensure that all assets are labeled and that they are entered into the assets register;
• Manage the Administration of the office and office premises ensuring that the offices and premises are properly maintained and clean and procure office provisions (teas, cleaning materials, etc)
• Responsible for logistics for staff and visitors (transport & subsistence allowances, travelling and transport bookings, hotel bookings, payments of allowances at workshops, conferences, meetings etc)
• Receipt and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and maintenance of the necessary records;
• Any other responsibilities as will be delegated by the Finance & Administration Officer.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements

Recent graduate in accounting or any other equivalent qualification. Experience in NGO financial reporting will be an added advantage.
