Employer: Outsourced CFO
Outsourced CFO, with their head office based in Cape Town City Centre, Western Cape, is looking for a dynamic and driven Chartered Accountant with excellent leadership, problem solving, writing and negotiation skills to join their team.
The candidate will lead high level financial management engagements with Outsourced CFO clients by providing high level financial inputs to improve their finance function and ultimately assist them to improve/grow their business. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Advisory Services.
Responsibilities will include: *building and maintaining good relationships with existing clients *directing and motivating SAICA Trainee Accountants to achieve deliverables *having regular client meetings where deliverables and deadlines are communicated *delivering on monthly management accounts *ensuring all SARS returns are submitted correctly and timeously *communicating payments clients need to make to SARS *ad-hoc assistance to client's accountant (internal or external or OCFO) with various accounting treatments and issues *regular cash flow updates, presentation to and discussion with clients *annual budget process (preparation, discussion with client, import into Xero) *delivering annual financial statements (ensure accounting is correct and ready for drafting, review drafts, deliver and discuss with client) *having ad-hoc strategy sessions with client - mainly upon request *keeping and updating a client risk register and discussing this with client at least quarterly *preparing board packs for clients *attending board meetings, presenting financial information and providing financial inputs during meeting *preparing financial gap analysis for new clients, discussing main focus areas, and developing an action plan *tax planning for clients *reviewing internal control of clients and recommending changes to improve control and reduce risk *reviewing processes of clients to identify inefficiencies and room for automation *all other duties related to the role.
