Job Summary

The Commission wishes to recruit professionals of high integrity with good communication and decision-making skills, and sound knowledge of electoral democracy to fill vacancies that have arisen in the institution. Suitably qualified women are encouraged to apply.

JOB TITLE : Training Officer
REPORTS TO : Deputy Director- Human Resource
STATION : Head Office
GRADE : 8

Duties and Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
? Drafting and reviewing a human capital development policy;
? Conducting training needs assessments;
? Compiling training plans;
? Conducting training;
? Facilitating electoral training to ZEC employees and seconded staff;
? Organising training and staff inductions / on-boarding programs;
? Facilitating human capital development programs;
? Identifying and addressing employee performance gaps;
? Compiling annual staff development plans and the budgets;
? Providing any other support as may be required and expected by the Commission

Qualifications and Experience

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
? Degree in Human Resource Management, or other social science degree or related qualification.
? At least 3 years’ training management experience.
? A Masters degree is an added advantage.
