The Scholarship Foundation of the Republic of Austria provides grants to eligible individuals for research related to their Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral thesis. These individuals must be descendants of forced labourers under the Nazi Regime (regardless of their country of origin) or people from countries that have suffered heavily from the Nazi regime, particularly in terms of forced labour recruitment. Additionally, applicants must not have studied, pursued research, or conducted academic work in Austria in the six months prior to accepting the grant and must meet age limits. The grant benefits include a monthly scholarship instalment of 1.050 EUR, health insurance, accommodation, and a travel allowance, depending on the scholarship holder's country of origin. To apply, you must submit a fully completed Online Application form, two letters of recommendation, a confirmation of supervision, a scanned passport, university graduation certificate, confirmation of participation in a study programme, and, if applicable, a processing number or photocopy of the letter of information from the Austrian "Reconciliation, Peace and Cooperation Fund" or the German Foundation "Remembrance, Responsibility and Future". The Scholarship Council will select candidates for the scholarship based on the criteria listed. Competition for scholarships is based on merit and only one award per category is possible; renewal is not possible
