Branch Accountant/ Administrator - Gutu, Kariba, Chinhoyi, Rusape
Introduction
A firm in the FMCG sector is looking for qualified, trustworthy competent Branch Accountant. The role requires an accurate, thorough, self-motivated and hard-working individual with vast experience working with cash, creditors and debtors. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced and established FMCG manufacturing organisation.
Job Description:
v Inventory management (Raw materials and finished goods
v Proper maintenance of financial records, filing etc.
v Accurate processing of financial transactions.
v Production of accurate financial reports.
v Monthly budget preparation and monitoring
v Responsible for branch budget development and monitoring.
v Supervising and training branch accounts team such as cashiers and stores
v Manage all human resources, ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
v Will be working closely with the branch manager in maintenance, development and motivation of Human resources
v Invoicing and receipting
v Responsible for the whole branch in the absence of the Branch manager.
v Perform administration duties together with the branch manager
v Product costing
v Financial control of all aspects of stock including provisioning and average costings
v Identify areas for potential improvements.
v Managing fuels.
v Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register ensuring all assets are correctly recorded, depreciated and tagged
v Prepare payroll statements, allowances, travel claims and other payments to the Programme Personnel, vendors and other claimants
v Looks after administrative affairs of the Office.
v Any other task assigned by the superior
Key qualifications
v A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent
v At least 2 years relevant continuous work experience in an Accountant, finance and administrative functions;
v Demonstrated experience in procurement and preparation of financial reports and budget variance analysis;
v Ability to work accurately under pressure and with minimum supervision
v High integrity, strong result orientation, drive for excellence and takes initiatives
v Excellent communication and analytical skills;
v Good interpersonal skills and result orientation;
v Work experience with MS Office applications, especially Excel is a must.
v Work experience with accounting packages is an added advantage
