Job Summary

We are looking for vibrant and dynamic individuals to fill the above position.

Reporting to the Hospitality and Agro-Eco-Tourism SBU Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for managing food costing and inventory. The incumbent should also ensure that there are good standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance and warrant compliance with applicable health codes and regulation as well as maintaining the highest standard of the food quality and taste.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
The incumbent’s key responsibilities shall include but not limited to: -
• Planning daily menus, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.
• Overseeing food preparation and ensuring that all dishes are prepared well.
• Monitoring equipment quality and order new equipment as needed.
• Determining how much food and supplies need to be ordered by the canteen.
• Training and managing canteen staff.
• Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and is served in a timely manner.
• Overseeing all kitchen/canteen operations and coordinate kitchen staff and assist them as required.
• Training all canteen staff to prepare and cook all the menu items.
• Taking stock of ingredients and equipment and placing orders to replenish stock.
• Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
• Creating new recipes to keep the menu fresh.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends.
• Receive feedback from clients and making improvements where necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• Culinary school Diploma/Certificate.
• 2 Years’ experience as a working Chef.
• Advanced knowledge of the Culinary Arts.
