CHIEF ENVIRONMRNT & PUBLIC OFFICER – Airports Company of Zimbabwe (Private) Limited

Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Head Office

Duties and Responsibilities
? Coordinates the development, implementation, and review of all requisite Environment and Public
Health management policies and procedures.
? Coordinates the development and implementation of best practices in Environmental Management
(ISO 14001, ACA) at all Airports.
? Ensure compliance to Environmental Management Regulations by all Airports.
? Coordinates continuous Airports Environment and Public Health risk management processes and
ensure adequate implementation of recommended controls.
? Ensures compliance to the Organisation’s Environment & Public Health Management Plan and
timeous implementation of Environmental management programs.

? Analyses organization systems, processes, and activities and ensure compliance to ICAO, ACI, IATA
recommendations on Environment and Public Health Management in aviation.
? Coordinates the timeous implementation of Environment and Public Health related CAPS from IMS
first-party and third-party assessments.
? Implements of strategies and practices that help foster public health protection and environmental
protection including the surrounding communities.
? Develop and ensure implementation of Environment and Public Health stakeholder awareness
programs at all business units.
? Prepare and timeously submit ad-hoc, weekly, monthly, and annual performance and regulatory reports
on the Organisation’s Environment and Public Health performance or other relevant matters
considered pertinent for decision-making as guided by the QAM.

Qualifications and Experience
? BSc Honours Environmental Science / Equivalent.
? MBA / MSc in Environmental Management or equivalent is an added advantage.
? At least 8 years experience with 4 years experience in a similar role in aviation, mining,
manufacturing or construction industry.
Other Skills and competences:
? Competence in IMS (ISO) development and implementation.
? Competence in IMS (ISO) Systems Internal Auditing.
? Project Management.
? ISO Systems Lead Auditor, an added advantage.
