Job Description 9.1 Provides secretarial and administrative support to Parliamentary Committees; 9.2 Prepares briefing material for Committees; 9.3 Organises Committee meetings and prepare minutes of committee meetings; 9.4 Liaises with civil society organisations and line Ministries’ on Committee business; 9.5 Organises for Committee field visits and public hearings; 9.6 Provides procedural advice to Portfolio Committees; 9.7 Records management for all committee information and documents; 9.8 Researches on relevant subject matter, analyses and synthesize material for investigation in collaboration with the Research department; and 9.9 Produces reports for committees proceedings

Work/Educational Requirements

A Social Science or Arts Degree x 1 An Honours Degree in Accounting or Finance x 2 A Bachelor of Laws Degree x 2; A relevant Master’s Degree will be an added advantage; 5 ‘O’ Levels including English Language; Proficiency in any three of the local languages; Good knowledge of Parliamentary business especially the Committee System; Experience in manual and electronic records management; Computer literacy
