Position: Communications Graduate Intern

MSF Zimbabwe is looking to fill the position of a Communications Graduate intern based in Harare with frequent visit to projects
Position objective
The objective of this internship is to give a recent graduate experience in the practical aspects of all Communications practices and procedures at Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders. The Graduate Intern will provide support in designing, produce graphics, and implement communication activities for the mission
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision and mentorship of the Field Communications Manager, the responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Generating social media content and helping to keep platforms updated
• Support the Field Communications Manager (FCM) in media monitoring and producing communication material including photos, videos, social media posts
• Under the FCM’s supervision, produce and disseminate material for internal operational communications at different MSF level
• Assist with logistical arrangements for media events, trainings, and other events
Qualifications and Experience
Education and Person Specification
Recent graduate in Media and Society Studies, Journalism /Communications or any other related course
Skills
• Photography, videography, editing and graphic design skills are desired
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Competencies
• Strong English writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Passion and commitment to humanitarian work and values
• Results and quality oriented, teamwork and cooperation, behavioural flexibility
• Ability and readiness to learn
