Reporting to Provincial Program Manager Overall responsibility The Project Assistant reports to the Provincial Program Manager and receives technical input, mentoring and oversight from the UNICEF REACH for EMTCT Project Coordinator, and works closely with the OPHID FACE-HIV district team. The Project Assistant is responsible and accountable for all aspects of the project within his/her districts. He/she supports the development, testing and implementation of evidence-based risk-screening tools and maternal motivation packages to identify and support adolescents and young pregnant and breast-feeding mothers and their partners in routine antenatal and post-natal settings in Zimbabwe.

Work/Educational Requirements

Diploma/Degree or relevant Nursing qualification, RGN ü Registration with Zimbabwe Nursing Council as a Registered General Nurse ü At least 3 years’ experience providing HIV Care services at district level within MOHCC or in a supporting partner environment ü Familiar with M&E tools for HIV management ü Ability to communicate in local languages, Shona and Ndebele ü Previous research experience ü Good communication and interpersonal skills ü Good written and oral English ü Good knowledge of MOHCC registers, data and indicators relating to HIV and nutrition and experience in M&E and data collection and analysis ü Ability to manage resources and own budget ü Willingness to travel throughout the assigned districts ü Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Attributes ü Ability to work in a team and form productive, supportive and professional relationships with all colleagues ü Organized self-starter, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision Honest, conscientious and reliable
