Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Facilities Manager position that have arisen at the Cotton Company of Zimbabwe (COTTCO)
The Facilities Manager position requires someone who has the ability to inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations as well as reviewing utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Supervises all staff facilities and external contractors.
• Manages budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
• Ensures that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
• Oversees building projects, renovations or refurbishments
• Plans and coordinates all installations and refurbishments
• Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.
• Checks completed work by vendors and contractors.
• Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
Qualifications and Experience
• BSc in Rural and Urban Planning or Honors in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
• Diploma in Real Estate or Project Management an added advantage.
• Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position.
• At least 3years’ experience working in a similar position.
