Mine Manager :

Job Summary

Our organisation seeks to employ a Mine Manager to develop business goals for mining explorations, and help to produce a business plan to ensure that those goals are met

Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, organise, direct and run optimum day to day process plant operations
Establish systems, procedures and work flows and schedules to guide mining explorations development and control.
Ensure operations staff are engaged in the mining explorations planning, optimization and productivity processes and improvements including stage plans, to allow efficient and effective execution of the plan/s
Responsible for the production output including crushing milling and production
Prepare production and operating budgets, and monitor and report performance and costs
Develops continuous improvement targets for the function and drive and measure achievement of these targets.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines
Contribute to business planning and company strategy to improve competitiveness, profitability and growth.

Qualifications and Experience

Mining Engineering Honours Degree or equivalent
Certificate in Drilling, Maintenance of gas detectors
Full blasting license, NEC registered
8 years’ experience in mining environment with 3 years as a Plant Manager
Conversant with mining regulations and ability to stay up to date with changes within the sector
