Objective of the Post
Support in providing comprehensive nursing care to Adolescents and young people including Key Populations and Vulnerable
Populations in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), with a focus on mobile outreach clinic services, ensuring
quality, continuity of care, and effective service delivery in hard-to-reach and underserved communities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive adolescent and young people sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) services including family
planning, pregnancy care, STI screening and management, HIV testing and counselling, TB screening, mental health &
psychosocial support at Edith Opperman, Matapi Youth Hub, Epworth Youth Hub and through mobile outreach clinics
• Mentor and support health care workers during medical activities in clinical decision-making, case management,
youth-friendly approaches and on client confidentiality
• Ensure proper preparation, packing, transportation, setup of medical supplies, consumables, and biomedical
equipment for mobile clinic operations, ensure biomedical equipment functionality and safety
• Support the implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines specific to adolescent care and ensure their consistent
application in all outreach settings
• Conduct regular on-job capacity building for City of Harare Nurses and other health care workers, focusing on
adolescent-friendly services and outreach best practices
• Coordinate with community health workers, peer educators and local stakeholders to enhance community
mobilization service awareness
• Ensure accurate, timely record-keeping and submission of comprehensive reports that feed into operational research,
monitoring and evaluation frameworks
• Participate in the collection and review of data, planning and service improvement efforts
• Facilitate smooth logistical and clinical handovers between mobile teams and static health facilities for referral and
follow-up of cases requiring continuity of care
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control (IPC) standards during medical operations
• Support stock management and inventory tracking for medical supplies, monitoring expiries, stock levels &timely
requisitions
• Responding to other emergencies (as and when they happen) that require MSF intervention

Qualifications and Experience

Educational and professional background
• Degree/Diploma in Nursing, registered with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe
• Degree/Diploma in Midwifery or equivalent
• Certificate in HIV testing; Counseling qualification is an added advantage.
Professional and Personal Requirements
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience and competence in clinical adolescent care management of reproductive health
• Experience in mobile or community outreach settings is a strong advantage
• Experience working in partnership with MoHCC and other health services stakeholders
• Proficiency in data collection tools and reporting frameworks with reporting and analytical skills
• Good oral and written English language and any local language
• Working experience with an international NGO is an asset
• Adherence to MSF Principles and values
