Programs Facilitator Volunteer: Women Against All Forms of Discrimination (WAAD)

Women Against All Forms of Discrimination is a women’s organization; advocating for the full attainment of women’s rights, stipulated in the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). WAAD is looking for an open-minded competent young lady to serve as a Programs Facilitator reporting to the National Coordinator based in Harare.

General purpose

The post holder will be responsible for mobilizing and coordinating community level work, reporting, and programme Monitoring, Evaluation Accountability and Learning of WAAD programs, including attending relevant meetings involving key stakeholders and various platforms in the respective WAAD provinces.

Duties and responsibilities

Responsible for supporting all aspects of project cycle including planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation; Ensure that the quality of the programs / projects is maintained through an effective monitoring system and that accurate data and information on best practices is documented; Ensure narrative reports are prepared and submitted on time using donor reporting requirements; Track / monitor day-to-day progress against programs milestones and activities, against scheduled work plans and overall programs objectives; Support provincial teams to engage with government stakeholders at provincial, district and community level throughout the project implementation; Work with the National Office team to identify needs for technical support and capacity building and help facilitate the provision of these needs; Promote shared learning and collaboration between partners by participating in partner networks and meetings; Monitor project expenditures and ensure budget is strictly adhered to, financial procedures are observed, and all supporting documents are provided; Represent WAAD at various forums, meetings and advocate for women’s issues, health, and policies; Be proactive in providing information, case studies, interesting news stories etc relating to programs.

Qualifications and experience

The position seeks a mature woman below 35 years who has a proven record of working with women, key, and vulnerable populations (SW, AGYW, PWUD, LGBTIQ, people with disability), a successful middle- senior strategic management experience in resource mobilization, programme planning and coordination, consensus building and asset sustainability; Applicants should have at least a diploma in Social Sciences, Law, Business, Administration and / or Public Health. At least 3 years’ experience in project and grant management, of which 2 years should have been through working with women, key, and vulnerable populations; Fluency in written English, with the ability to adapt the style of writing to a range of different communications. Excellent analytic, written, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, including use of Proficient in MS Office and databases; Understanding and willingness to conduct work and demonstrate behaviours in line with WAAD’s values and policies.
