Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate must be able to teach in the following areas: Emerging Technologies in Practice, Computer Programming, Electronics, Operating Systems, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Object Oriented Programming, Database Systems, Mathematical Concepts for computing, Computer Networks, Distributed Systems, Digital Logic, Systems Analysis and Design, Ethics and Professionalism and Web Technologies. The candidate must also be able to supervise students’ research, actively participate in research and contribute to innovations in the University. The Department reserves the right to allocate courses for teaching
Qualifications and Experience
The applicant must hold a Master of Science and at least an upper second class Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Information Technology/ Information Systems/ Computers Science. A PhD in this field is an added advantage. The candidate must have at least 2 years lecturing experience at tertiary institution level with a clear record of successful research, publications and supervision of students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
A Professional Qualification in Cisco/ Microsoft/ Linux/ Java is a requirement.
