The candidate must be capable of supervising undergraduate students’ research work, assess students on industrial attachment and should be able to teach the following modules at undergraduate level:-
• Engineering Drawing, CAD/CAM, Engineering Materials, Materials Technology and Strength of Materials.
• Attract and manage research grants.
• Participating in outreach activities in the Engineering Materials/Materials Technology sector.
• Participation in income generation.
• Ability to innovate and facilitate service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
Prospective successful candidates must possess an MSc/MEng degree in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Manufacturing and Operations Management or equivalent with a Merit or better, a BSc/BEng Hons degree in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Production/Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with a 2.1 or better; with considerable teaching and research experience and a proven record of publications in refereed scientific journals. A PhD will be an added advantage.
