Job Summary

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking the services of a consultant with expertise in research and migration to assess Covid-19's Impact on Mixed Migration Flows: Trafficking in Persons, Smuggling of Migrants, And Related Protection Risks in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe

Qualifications and Experience

Applications are invited from qualified individual consultants, consulting firms and/or a consortium of individual consultants. The lead consultant should have a minimum of the following qualifications and experience:

Advanced university degree in international relations, political science, international economics, demography, statistics, development studies, social or behavioural science, migration studies, or other relevant social sciences
Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in academia, research institutes, think tanks, governmental, inter-governmental, or non-governmental organizations.

Working experience with senior officials within government, inter-governmental, and nongovernmental organizations including capacity to establish harmonious and effective relationships with stakeholders.
Full computer literacy, including familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research tools as well as with analysis and interpretation of quantitative and quantitative data
Proven capacity to coordinate all administrative and technical aspects of the consultancy.
Working experience with mobile data collection tools such as KOBO or ODK is desirable.
Working knowledge of GIS and spatial analysis tools including ArcGIS Desktop is desirable.
Demonstrated expertise and understanding of migration including ability to work in a multicultural environment
