Communications and Social Media Coordinator :

Job Summary

Catholic Diocese of Chinhoyi is looking for an experienced Communications and Social Media Coordinator to manage and update our social media platforms, manage our website and coordinate all internal and external communications. This includes communications with business partners, investors, stakeholders, and the company’s customers.
The ideal candidate for this position should have extensive experience in communications, journalism, or digital media and has a strong understanding of social media platforms and tools.
As a Communications and Social Media Coordinator, you will oversee the development of engaging content for internal audiences and external stakeholders and develop social media strategies to increase our brand’s presence across online platforms.
As part of your duties you will also support by creating internal and external written materials such as newsletters and targeted marketing materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities
? Act as an advisor across Commissions, departments and parishes and provide recommendations to teams and stakeholders on social media strategies for improving our online presence
? Lead the development of content and social media strategies
? Play a central role in sharing best practices in employee communications, church communications and social media management
? Creating internal and external written materials, including press releases, newsletters, and targeted marketing materials
? Use social media tools to analyze the performance of our social media campaigns and identify areas for improvement
? Stay updated on the latest digital technologies and social media trends
? Produce engaging and clear content for communication channels
? Collect data that evaluate communications activities and create measurement reports and offer recommendations for improvement

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements
? Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Digital Media
? 3–5 years of experience in Communications, Content Development or Social Media Management
? Superb knowledge of social media platforms, such as Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
? Proficiency in digital media formats, HTML, InDesign, Photoshop, and WordPress
? Experience with using social media tools like Hootsuite, MeetEdgar, or Sprout Social
? Excellent communication skills and the ability to express the Catholic Diocese of Chinhoyi message creatively
? Experience with researching, developing, and coordinating production elements for corporate events.
