Ilanga Bolts and Hardware is looking for an energetic, customer-focused Counter Sales Clerk to join our showroom team — helping tradesmen, mechanics, contractors and DIY customers find the right tools and fasteners.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Duties:
🔹 Welcome customers and advise on fasteners, tools & technical specs
🔹 Process sales, quotations, and POS transactions
🔹 Maintain product knowledge across our fastener & stock range
🔹 Keep counter/showroom organized and assist with stock management
🔹 Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements:
✅ 5 ‘O’ Levels (English & Maths); Diploma in Sales/Marketing an advantage
✅ 2+ years counter sales experience in hardware, engineering, steel, or auto spares
✅ Knowledge of bolt grades, metric/imperial measurements & power tools
✅ Fluent in English & Ndebele (Shona a plus)
✅ Computer literate
