ICT Administrator Job Summary The ICT Administrator is responsible for developing and implementing AJU’s information, communication and technology strategic direction and to ensure the smooth running of IT systems within the limits of the University’s requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. Duties and Responsibilities Developing and implementing the most suitable and cost-effective ICT systems for the University; Recommending information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating AJU’s current ICT needs, identifying problems; analyzing trends and anticipating future requirements; Supporting and delivering the University’s strategic plans through implementation and maintenance of back-up ICT technologies; Coordinate ICT resources and timetables with user departments and central data centre; Verifying application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented in the University; Preserving the University assets and data systems by developing and implementing the Disaster Recovery Plan, back-up procedures, and information security and control structures; Maintaining service quality by establishing and enforcing application of ICT user service standards; Motivating information technology staff by planning, monitoring, and managing performance results; coaching, counseling, and ensuring compliance with ICT policies and practices.
First degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Related; Master’s degree in ICT is a distinct advantage; Proven working experience with a minimum of 4 years’ in a Tertiary Education Environment; Excellent knowledge of technical management, system development, data centre management and governance; Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
