The job incumbent’s responsibility is to deliver the highest-quality content in the markets we serve and to do so in the various, multi-channel formats that today’s industry professionals demand, from informative e-newsletters to in-depth monthly magazines.
Responsibilities
- Present, promote, and sell the organisation’s online Magazine to existing and prospective customers
- Provision of selling online advertising inventory to brands, networks, and/or agencies.
- The candidate is expected to generate NEW business opportunities.
- Provision of selling online advertising inventory to brands, networks, and/or agencies.
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and status reports
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
- Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in Magazine Sales or a similar position in the Media industry
- Complete knowledge of industry laws and regulations
- Familiarity with trending topics and current affairs
- Ability to conduct in-depth research
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Highly creative and have an eye for detail
- Ability to work in a competitive environment and handle deadlines
- A team player and ability to work collaboratively
- Highly motivated individual
- Ability to offer excellent customer service
