Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following post:
The duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor and Professor are grouped into 5 main categories which are:
(a) Teaching – the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and or Faculty guidelines and standards.
(b) University Service – the incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences and seminars, among others.
(c) Research – the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University
(d) Innovations – leading to tangible products and services
(e) Industrialization –through commercialization of products

The Candidates must be capable of teaching and promoting Basic and Extended Communication Skills that are fundamental to undergraduate students’ academic success.
In addition, the candidate should facilitate proficiency and effective communication throughout University student learning.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
First Degree in Applied Linguistics, English and Communication or equivalent with at least a 2.1 pass.
Masters of Arts Degree in Applied Linguistics or equivalent.
PhD Degree in Applied English Linguistics or equivalent will be an added advantage.
A proven research record of relevant publications in national and international accredited journals
Proven experience in presentation of research paper at national and international conferences
Relevant teaching experience at Tertiary level.
