The role is responsible for planning and conducting IT audits to evaluate the effectiveness of controls, efficiency of operations, governance arrangements and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and management policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and conducting I.T. audits to assess the effectiveness of controls and efficiency of operations.
Identifying I.T. risks and recommending solutions to improve processes.
Evaluating I.T. infrastructure for compliance with laws, regulations and management policies.
Ensuring that I.T. governance and controls are in place and effective.
Assessing data management practices and the adequacy of I.T. controls.
Assisting with conducting walk-throughs, control testing and the collection and documentation of audit evidence.
Preparing clear audit working papers and supporting the drafting of audit findings and reports.
Following up on agreed audit recommendations and maintaining issue-tracking records.
Supporting reviews of new systems, systems implementations and relevant regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum I.T. Related Degree from a reputable institution.
