PROCUREMENT CLERK X 1 REPORTS TO: PROCUREMENT OFFICER The Procurement Clerk will be based in Harare. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES – Sourcing of quotations applying the procedures in the PPDPA Act. – Receive requests from other members of staff and validated the requests before processing. – Prepare a procurement competitive schedules and submit to the Procurement Officer for approval. – Prepares procurement documents to publicly solicit bids and contracts for the purchase of goods and services – Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and accounts for payment. – Maintaining records on all procurement proceedings and related matters – Interpret the PPDPA Act and ensure TIMB compliance with regulation. – Assist in the preparation of bidding documents. – Liaising with suppliers to schedule for deliveries or to discuss shortages or missed deliveries.
Work/Educational Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS& EXPERIENCE – Minimum 5 'O' level subjects including English & Maths Diploma in Purchasing & Supply or equivalent from a reputable Institution – At least one year relevant experience – Membership of a relevant professional body – Knowledge of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act OTHER REQUIREMENTS / COMPETENCES -Computer literate – High level of integrity – Good interpersonal skills – Ability to work under pressure – Good communication skills -A clean Class 4 driver's licence
