About
A local NGO based in Harare that focuses on providing holistic empowerment to orphaned adolescent girls and single young adult women is looking for a competent qualified person to fill in the vacant position of the Programme Coordinator that has arisen in the organization. The incumbent will be based in Harare.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties
Coordinate the training program, develop monitoring tools, strengthen monitoring processes, conduct organization’s project evaluations and monitor the sustainability of project results; Coordinate recruitment of trainees, field visits, and follow up students on attachment to assess progress and impact; Take a lead in counseling beneficiaries of the program and be able to respond to the challenges and ensure that both the girls and the young single adult women receive holistic economic empowerment through working with various stakeholders; Provide feedback on project strategies and suggest strategies to the project for management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and competencies
A professional Social Work Qualification at first degree level or a degree in Developmental Studies; Minimum experience of at least 3 years in a similar position (experience in NGO is an added advantage); A valid driver’s license highly desirable; Experience in working with orphans and vulnerable adolescent girls and young single adult women, and knowledge on HIV and AIDS and Sexual Reproductive Health; Preferably a mature female aged between 30 – 45 years old able to work with adolescent girls and young adult single women
