Job Summary
WORKSHOP ASSISTANT
(Reports to: Workshop Supervisor)
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties And Responsibilities
* Receiving and Quality Check of boards before stacking for despatch
* Ensure that the assembled products are conform to the specifications given.
* Implement the relevant procedures, strategies and ways to make sure others
and self safety always stay high in the workshop
* Operating verification and measurements of input and output materials
* Checking the quality of basic materials used for the production of semi-finished
and finished goods.
* Maintain edge banding machinery and equipment, to ensure that it is clean and in safe,
working order. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and adjust when
necessary, using hand and power tools.
* Dispose of cutting waste material
* Dispose of possibly hazardous waste material created in the cutting process,
such as swarf, scrap and slugs, sort according to regulations, and clean up workplace.
* Learn to operate and maintain edging machinery and other workshop equipment
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience
· At least 5 O' Levels plus Diploma in a technical, wood processing, Carpentry and
Joinery or relevant field from any reputable institution.
· Experience of operating edge bander as key advantage
·E xcellent customer service
·G ood social skills to communicate at all levels
· Great teamworker
·S trong written and verbal communication skills
