Job Summary
The position exist to oversee the risk and fraud function mainly for the VISA MasterCard (VMC) and Multi-Pay Solutions functional areas to limit leakages through fraudulent activities and investigate any activities reported with a fraudulent nature. The incumbent will oversee adherence to Associations rules, regulations and standards regarding the treatment of fraud and risk situations on Visa, MasterCard and Union Pay card business.
Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for implementing strategies that will assist the organisation in preventing any fraudulent activities that may have a negative impact on the organisation financially.
Configuring the rules and regulations to be adopted in the department in a manner that will initiate detecting of fraudulent transactions.
Verifying if fraud analyst have actioned on transactions that have been categorized for the need of verification and avoid fraudulent transactions been processed.
Advise the business on compliance or arbitration and advise on the necessary technicality to avoid any penalties.
Connect and assign work queues to Chargeback analyst and Fraud Analyst to prevent slippages.
Compile reports for VMC monthly for all issuing and acquiring transactions detailing frauds and all transactions.
Submit Quarterly reports for VMC issuing and acquiring accordingly within the stipulated time frames to avoid penalties.
Alert VISA and MasterCard for any breaches on any merchants and provide the relevant details.
Manages, reviews, monitors and validates outputs of subordinates to achieve superior performance.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Risk Management or Equivalent.
Corporate Membership to a relevant professional body.
5-7 years' relevant experience.
3 years in supervisory role.
