Job Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for running a small scale farm ,
reporting to Group Risk and Strategic manager
The job requires a self driven individual who is able to handle pressure and working odd hours
-a person of sober habits and a holder of at least a class4 driver license
-the job involves handling personnel issues
-Crop and horticulture production
-livestock production
-marketing of agricultural products
Duties and Responsibilities
-recruitment of farm workers with help from HR department
-preparation of farm lands
-planting and weed management
-application of herbicides and fertilizers
-harvesting and storage of products
-animal production and management
-vaccination and treatment
-supervisions of pen management by junior employees
-breading and recordkeeping
-bio security management
-Agro marketing
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in agriculture or certificate
knowledge in of quality management systems will be an added advantage
2 years experience in a similar position
