Job Summary

A fast-growing organization in the food manufacturing Industry is inviting applications from young and energetic qualified people who are suitably qualified to fill in a vacancy in Bulawayo.

Duties and Responsibilities

?Develop in house quality assurance standards and company processes, procedures, standards and specifications.
?Inspection of products with the obligation to report and document findings
?Maintaining strong overall quality control of products made by the company adhering to reliability, performance and customer expectation.
?Specify quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers and ensuring that they are met.
?Investigating and setting standards for quality, health and safety while adhering to industry quality and safety standards.
?Writing management and technical reports , documenting errors and issues for fixing.
?Carrying out technical laboratory duties and testing all raw products and finished products for conformity to stipulated standards.
?Sampling products to determine whether they meet specifications and quality standards, and initiating corrective action if necessary.
?Analysing quality assurance data and making recommendations for improvement.
?Training and assisting operators to carry out their quality control function.
?Maintaining records of quality assurance checks.
?Monitoring all critical and quality control points within the production lines for all products being manufactured.
?Liaising with production and warehousing staff to ensure quality issues are addressed and preventative actions are followed.
?Maintaining high levels of hygiene within the plant and its proximity.

Qualifications and Experience

?A Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Quality Assurance or any other relevant field.
?Experience in a quality assurance department in the same industry is preferred
?Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
?Working knowledge of products and services
?In-depth understanding of industry standards and company policies
?Good customer focus
?Sharp attention to detail
?Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
?Great team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision
?Ability to sit, stand and walk around for long hours at a time
