SITE MANAGER :

Job Summary

Tsapo Group of Companies is seeking to employ the services of a Site Manager to oversee the overall management of a mining operation.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supervising, coordinating and scheduling all mining activities.
2. Establishing methods to meet work schedules and confer with management, technical personnel, and the contractor to resolve problems.
3. Overseeing all the safety issues of the mining operations.
4. Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity.
5. Requesting materials and supplies.
6. Training workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
7. Recommending personnel decisions such as hiring, employee transfers and promotions.
8. Preparing production reports and other mining reports.
9. Evaluating subordinate's performance and recommending the best course of action to close performance gaps.
10. Providing systems, resources and expertise to develop a Mine Production team to meet set targets.
11. Develop and maintain constructive relationships with the client to deliver the Mine plan collaboratively and effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

1. A Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
2. A Full Blasting Licence.
3. Basic Mining Training.
4. 5 years' proven and traceable working experience overseeing mining operations.
5. At least 5 years' experience in a senior management role.
6. A clean class 4 driver's licence.
