Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated, and task-oriented individuals to fill the following vacant positions that have arisen within Council:
1. COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER –
DEPARTMENT OF CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
? Degree in Marketing Studies, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalence.
? At least 5 years experience in a Public Relations environment.
? Experience in working for a public institution will be an added advantage.
? Proficiency in relevant Computer Software.
? Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to quickly create a working relationship and gain acceptance by multidisciplinary staff at different levels.
? Ability to manage social media platforms.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Coordinate publicity events as and when required.
? Assist management in fostering the image and work of the organization by liaising with the media, preparing/issuing press releases and arranging media interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organization.
? Recommends appropriate communication strategies in crisis situations to maintain a good image and keep stakeholders informed.
? Oversees the content and relevance of the Kadoma City Council’s social media, websites, etc.
